Udupi: Kasturba Hospital Manipal to continue normal OPD services for few specialties from Apr 15

Udupi, Apr 13: Dr Avinash Shetty, medical superintendent of Kasturba Hospital, Manipal announced, “We have decided to continue normal OPD services for a few basic specialties from Wednesday April 15 from morning 8.30 am to 1.00 pm. The specialities are General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Pulmonary Medicine, Orthopaedics, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Radiotherapy Oncology paediatric Haemato oncology, Palliative Medicine, Cardiology, Nephrology and Urology. Those who require can avail this facility.”

Those who are visiting the hospital should visit the temporary screening KIOSK set up outside the hospital and then will be shifted to the said respective departments. Mask is essential for all the patients and their attenders and only one attender is allowed along with the patient.

Dr Sharath K Rao, dean, KMC Manipal said, “As you all know, MAHE, Manipal has dedicated Dr TMA Pai Hospital Udupi to treat corona COVID-19 patients. So we have decided to continue normal OPD services for a few specialities."

Doctor’s consultation through Telemedicine service is also available at 080-47192235 from 9 am to 4 pm only. Trauma and emergency services will function as usual.
