Udupi, Apr 13: “State government has announced lockdown to prevent the spread of Covid-19 virus in the state. Likewise, directions are issued to restrict movement of citizens in Udupi district limits as per CRPC section 144(3).

“It has come to the notice of district administration that some people and groups are using drone cameras in the district limits without permission. Several complaints are received in this connection. It creates an atmosphere of panic among public. Permission from the district administration is mandatory to use drone cameras.

“People owning drone cameras should register at the district SP’s office. It is directed that those who have drone cameras should register in DSP’s office and use them according to the need.

If use of drone cameras without permission is found, those will be confiscated and stern action will be taken,” warned deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha.
