Vijayapura, Apr 14: Six persons of a family including an aged lady were found to have been infected with coronavirus recently. As soon as the infection was confirmed, the family is found to have deleted the call history in their cellphones. This has given rise to suspicion of foul play.

The family members are not revealing what prompted them to delete call history at this juncture. It is said that they did so as they thought that the police could collect details of people with whom they had conversations, and arrest them. The police are now putting together the travel history of the infected people and the hospitals where they got treatment. Cybercrime police have collected their mobile phones and sent them to Bengaluru to extract call details.

Speaking to media persons, minister Shashikala Jolle, said that action will be taken against the family members if they had purposefully concealed information about their contacts. She said that the six infected people belong to two families, and some people from Maharashtra had visited their home recently.
