Puttur, Apr 14: Jayaprakash (16), son of Dharnappa Gowda from Patrakody in Kedila village in the taluk hanged himself inside his home on Monday, April 13.
Jayaprakashi was a student of Kabaka PU college. On Sunday night, he went to bed inside a room at his home without having food. On Monday morning his mother called him, as usual, to deliver milk to the society. As he did not respond, she peeped through the room's window and saw that the boy had hanged himself by using his Lungi.
Puttur town police station personnel visited the spot and took up investigation. A case stands registered in the town police station here in this regard.
