Kadaba: Man lives atop tree to maintain social distance

Kadaba, Apr 15: There was a report sometime back of an advocate climbing a tree and sitting on a branch there to maintain social distance. A person from this taluk has now built a house atop a tree. This house has been enabling him to maintain social distance. Besides, he also is able to live amid nature and enjoy cool breeze and sound of chirping birds.

Vivek Alva from Punchappady near Savanoor, a lecturer by profession, had earlier promoted the concept of agricultural dairy with the interest of farmers in mind. Now he has erected a hut atop a tree which is surrounded by a forest he has grown. He had to work for seven days to build this hut.

Alva is able to enjoy being alone, read books and view nature and thereby spend his time meaningfully besides maintaining social distance. Shadow nets he has fitted around the hut have been protecting him from the scorching sun in the afternoon.
