Chikkamagaluru: Mangaluru TP president's vehicle likely used to ferry passengers

Daijiworld Media Network - Chikkamagaluru (SP)

Chikkamagaluru, Apr 16: People of Banakal village in the district said that the official vehicle of Mangaluru taluk panchayat president had arrived at Banakal in Mudigere taluk with a load of passengers on Wednesday.

The vehicle bearing registration No KA 19 G 0986 was stopped and sent back at Banakal check post. It is said that the vehicle then stopped at a house in Banakal, offloaded the passengers there, and returned to Mangaluru.

The villagers wondered how can the people, in general, be expected to follow lockdown restrictions if people's representatives in responsible positions misuse government vehicles.
