Puttur, Apr 18: A youth hanged himself at Matha near Uppinangady in the taluk on Friday April 17.

The victim of this incident was Haroon Rashid (28), son of Abdul Kader from Matha. He was a coolie by profession. On Friday April 17, he hanged himself from a tree near his house on the bank of River Netravati.

In a complaint made at Uppinagady police station, brother of the deceased, Rafiq, requested them to undertake detailed investigation into Rashid's death.
