Belagavi: CRPF Jawan arrested for attacking policemen

Belagavi, Apr 24: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Jawan, who quarrelled with the police and tried to attack them was taken into custody by the police on Thursday, April 23.

The incident happened at Yaksamba town in the district. On Thursday, the police were patrolling the town to enforce lockdown conditions. They also were advising people to wear face masks.

Sachin Sawant, a CRPF Jawan, who had come to his hometown on leave was sitting by the side of the road. The police, who observed that he was not wearing the mask, advised him to wear one. On this issue, verbal friction arose between Sachin and the police.

The police said that Sachin pulled at the shirt of the police staff. He was arrested for attacking the policemen on duty.

    Please let him go,I know him very well by his character might be this is only a time fault between policemen and him, so please if this is can help that jawan forward this to DGP
