Bantwal: MLA, officials visit crematorium where deceased corona victim was cremated

Bantwal, Apr 24: MLA Rajesh Naik of Bantwal and top officials of the taluk visited the Hindu crematorium at Kaikunje of B C Road in the taluk on Friday, April 24 and inspected the area.

Local residents were concerned as various rumours were rife on social media right from the morning of Friday. Town municipality officials visited the crematorium along with the workers and sprinkled the sanitizer. Insect killer was sprayed in the afternoon as a precaution.

Many locals had gathered on the spot. The taluk officials gave them suitable information with regards to the steps taken before cremating the body of the deceased woman.

Bantwal tahsildar Rashmi S R, taluk health officer Dr Deepa Prabhu, revenue inspectors Naveen, Rama Katipalla, Divakar, BUDA president Devadas Shetty and Purushotama were present.
