Udupi: Yuva Spoorthi helping poor people and feeding pet animals

Udupi, Apr 24: Yuva Spoorthi, a team of 43 members, distributed food kits to poor people in Malpe and in and around Udupi city on Friday, April 24.

The group collaborated with Shree Krishna Vrudda Ashrama, Moodabettu. It is providing meals twice a day from April 1 till April 15. Initially, there were around 20 people but later on, the number increased to 40.

The team could donate Rs 16,000 for this cause. The entire money was used in buying food items, masks, gas and other necessary items.

So far it has provided more than 120 kits. Their main target was daily wage workers, handicapped, old age people etc.



The food kit contains ration which can last for minimum of 10 days for a family of four.

During this crisis, the team not only provided food kits to poor but also fed stray dogs.

When the government was feeding people, the team witnessed the pain of stray animals. Hence with this intention, the association fed more than 60 stray dogs.

Yuva Spoorthi also helped a family in Karkala in Ajrkar to repair their house. A single parent working in a cashew factory was a resident in the house.

They are also distributing sanitizers and medicines to needy.

    Well done yuva sphurti for helping humans and animals in these difficult times let us all get together to help street animals in these difficult times they also deserve to have at least one square meal day this is an appeal to all citizens pls help by keeping food and water for street animals and birds
