Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (EP)

Mangaluru, Apr 24: Trash collected from the city and dumped at Pachanady had created problems and damaged houses in the vicinity during last year. Therefore, the corporation is getting a break wall constructed. The waste water from there has reached the low areas of Mandara and Pachanady. It seeps from there towards Maravoor dam.

Therefore, water in several wells in between has become unfit for drinking. The damages during the upcoming monsoons are likely to be worse.

Stany Alvares, a resident of Pachanady, has described the above problems faced by local residents and requested the Mangaluru city corporation to take immediate action to set right the situation.
