Kasargod: Three new cases in district, five healed

Kasargod, Apr 25: The district had not witnessed any new coronavirus cases during the last two days. On Friday, however, three news cases were confirmed, giving rise to apprehension about this disease.

All the three new cases found on Friday in Kerala were from Kasargod.

They happens to be women aged 38 and 14 from Chengala and a 27-year-old lady from Chemnad. All of them got the infection due to contact with the infected people.

On Friday, a total of 15 patients recovered from the disease in the state. Kasargod accounted for five among them. At present, 136 persons are being treated in different hospitals in the state. District collector Dr Sajith Babu, said that lockdown restrictions have been tightened in Mogralputtur, Chengala, Chemnad, Madhur, Muliyar and Kumble gram panchayats, as well as Kasargod and Kanhangad municipalities as they are considered as coronavirus hotspots of the district.
