Udupi, Apr 27: Nagarika Samiti chief convener Nithyananda Olakadu came out on Maruti Veethika road in the city on Monday dressed in the ghastly clothing of an imaginary corona demon. Customers who had come to buy groceries during the relaxation of the curfew were horrified on seeing the demon.

Nithyananda Olakadu created awareness on wearing of mask, maintaining social distance and following the rules laid down by the police department and health department to contain coronavirus. It is customary for a few people dressed in costumes to entertain crowds during the Ashtami fest.

Ashwini Devadiga, Sripada Bhat, drama artiste K Balagangadhar Rao, Lokesh, Raghavendra Prabhu and others cooperated in the awareness campaign of the Nagarika Samiti.
