Shivamogga, May 18: Suresh (25) from Buddhanagar here was stabbed to death on account of pre-existing enmity on the morning of Sunday, May 17. A knife was used to commit this act.

Suresh was asleep in his house in J C Nagar behind Lord Venkateshwara temple in the city on Sunday morning, when some people who barged into the house all of a sudden, killed him. A rowdy sheeter named Prabhu, his brother, Harish, and two others have been accused of committing this heinous act.

Prabhu and Suresh had fought with each other in 2016, and a case had been filed in the police station here. It is said that Prabhu, keeping this in mind, had spit in front of Suresh's father's home on Saturday evening. A fight had broken out on this, and both the groups had filed police complaints against each other. The murder reportedly was the extended part of this enmity.

Doddapete police, who have registered the case, are investigating.
