Kundapur, Jun 9: In an accident which happened near Herikudru bridge, a little distance away from here on Monday June 8 afternoon, a pedestrian was killed on the spot after an unidentified vehicle knocked him down. The tragic accident happened at around 1.15 pm.
Raju Poojary (51) from Koni lost his life in this accident. Poojary was walking from his home to the residence of his wife at Katbelthoor when a vehicle hit him near Tallur. The vehicle escaped after causing the accident.
Kundapur traffic sub-inspector Sudarshan, and other staff visited the spot and scrutinized the spot of the accident. A hit and run case was registered at the town police station here.
