Udupi, Jun 12: Asare Charitable Trust of Udupi has come forward yet again to help a family in need. The Trust provided electricity connection to Babitha free of cost. Kadiyali Ganeshotsav Committee organised the programme where the aid was provided to Babitha on Friday, June 15.

Post-inauguration, Ramachandra Sanil, Udupi district convener of Rashtriya Seva Sangha said, "Asare Charitable Trust is a role model in social service. Hope they continue to provide service in the same way."

Babitha Naik comes from an underprivileged family, living in Vijayanagar, Kodi in Saralebettu ward. Babitha’s home had no electrical connection for the past 23 years. Over 24 houses have been provided with free electricity with the support of Asare Charitable Trust in Udupi. The general secretary of the Ganeshotsav Committee, Raghavendra Kini compered the programme.

Vasanth Bhat president, Ganeshotsava committee, Vijayalakshmi ward councillor, Satish Kulal Kadiyali treasurer, Asare Trust, Manjunath Hebbar, Sharan Shetty Kannarpady members of Kadiyali Ganeshotsav Committee, Harish Devadiga and others were present.
