Puttur: Recently married woman ends life - Father alleges torture

Puttur, Jun 15: Shwetha (24) from Palethadi in Hirebandady village in the taluk committed suicide on Sunday, June 14. She hanged herself.
 
Shwetha had married Lokesh Palethadi four years back. She has left behind a three-year-old son.
 
Shwetha's father, Chandrashekhar from Dharmasthala, has filed a complaint in Uppinangady police station. He has claimed that his daughter was being mentally tortured by her husband and mother-in-law and because of this, Shwetha had ended her life.
 
Uplpinangady police have registered a case. Puttur tahsildar also has begun an investigation as per rules.
