Udupi, Jun 18: Jilla Nagarika Samiti Trust, Corona Niyantrana Abhiyana (District citizenship Committee Trust, Corona control campaign) observed Mask Day at Maruthi Veethika here on Thursday.
Chief guest, district health and family welfare officer, Dr Sudhir Chandra Sooda explained the precautions that need to be taken to check the spread of coronavirus in society.
A six feet long and five feet wide mask prepared by Classic Touch Tailors using the cotton cloth provided free of charge by Sairam Textiles was on display.
Corona nodal officer, Dr Prashanth Bhat and town police station inspector Saktivelu arrived as resource guests. Committee chief convener, Nithyananda Olakadu delivered an introduction. Co-convener, Taranath Mestha Shirur welcomed the gathering. Rajesh Shetty, Raghavendra Karvalu and committee members were present.
