Udupi: RGPRS organization pays homage to brave soldiers martyred on Ladakh border

Udupi, Jun 19: Udupi district Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sanghatan paid homage to the brave soldiers who were martyred at Ladakh border recently.

Candles were lit and a silent prayer was said for the soldiers. Udupi district Congress vice president Kishan Hegde Kolkebail and veteran Congress leader Veronica Corneleo spoke.

District Congress paid tributes to the martyred soldiers in Udupi Congress Bhavan. Candles were lit and a three minute long silent prayer was said for the soldiers. Congress leaders said that it is necessary to boost the confidence of the soldiers in the country. “The country has the capacity to teach a lesson to China. People need to boycott the products of China and make sure that the sacrifice of the soldiers does not go in vain,” they said.

Former MLA U R Sabhapathi, district Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sanghatan convener Roshni Olivera, women Congress president Geetha Vagle, Harish Kini, Dr Sunita Shetty, Janardhan Bhandarkar, Shanti Pereira, Mary D’Souza, Bhasker Rao Kidiyoor, Nagesh Udyavar, Krishnamurthy Acharya, Ganesh Raj Saralebettu, Narasimha Murthy, Ronald Praveen Kumar and others were present.
