Udupi, Jun 22: Renowned photographer of the city, Focus Raghu has bagged the international award in photography.

This award is given to Focus Raghu for his still on 'Children game on slimy paddy fields of village'. The international competition in this connection was held at Belsad of Siberia. Focus Raghu got the FIAP GOLD international award in the Photojournalism category.

Scores of photographs from many countries around the world were in competition for the coveted award. This is the 24th international award bagged by Focus Raghu.

Focus Raghu is basically from a village. He has beautifully caught the games the people of villages play in the paddy fields during monsoon with Janapada songs.

Nikon company has nominated Focus Raghu as Nikon Influencer recognizing his achievements. This is a huge reward for the village talent of Focus Raghu.

Focus Raghu is the disciple of renowned photographer of Udupi Gurudath.
