Kundapur, Jun 22: BJP supported Byndoor resident Venkata Poojary Sasihitlu is elected new president of Kundapur Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) unopposed. He took over charge on Monday. BJP’s Vasanth Kumar Shetty Kedoor is elected vice-president.
Venkata Poojary said that he too is a progressive farmer and knows the pain of farmers. “No farmer who visits the market to sell his produce should face hardships. No cess should be levied on them. People too should not face problems. Cleanliness will be maintained in APMC yard. I intend to provide maximum possible convenience to both farmers and customers,” he said.
