Mangaluru: Coronavirus infection found in 15 people from Ullal

Mangaluru, Jul 15: A total of 15 people from Ullal including an eight-year-old boy are found to have been infected with COVID-19 in Ullal area. Six persons from a single area at Akkerekere, Ullal, tested positive for the virus. Infections have also been reported from the limits of Someshwar, Munnoor and Kinya village limits.

Five men aged 26, 16, 53, 39 and 18 as well as two women aged 23 and 35 from Akkerekere within Ullal municipal limits have contracted the infection. A 14-year-old boy from Ullal Kotepura, an eight-year-old boy from Azad Nagar and a woman aged 65 are among those who are newly infected. The total number of infected persons within the Ullal municipality limits therefore is ten.

A lady aged 24 from Munnoor village, another aged 46 from Pandith House, a 22-year-old woman from Kinya and a young man aged 20 from Someshwar Kumpala have tested positive. A person staying in a hostel attached to a private hospital is also among those who have been newly infected.
