Shivamogga, Jul 15: In an incident which happened at Bommanakatte extension in the city on Tuesday, July 14, a man killed his father for using objectionable language against his mother.
In this incident, Manjunath (56) from Siddappa Nagara in Hale Bommanakatte here, was murdered. His son, Rakesh (24), committed this murder.
It is learnt that Manjunath's elder daughter had got admitted into a hospital here for her delivery. Her mother also was in the hospital to look after her daughter. Manjunath, who returned home drunk, not only quarrelled with his son but also derided his own wife. Unable to tolerate bad words spoken against his mother, Rakesh attacked his father with a rod, it is gathered. Manjunath, who received a hit on his head, collapsed and died on the spot, it is said.
A case in this connection has been registered in Vinoba Nagar police station.
