Udupi: Byndoor police station, Padubidri hotel sealed down

Udupi, Jul 17: A 58-year-old person from Maravanthe village lost his life on Thursday, July 16. He was suffering from asthma and had been admitted into the primary health centre at Maravanthe on Wednesday. From there, he was shifted to Kundapur COVID hospital where he breathed his last before the doctors started his treatment. His throat swab sample tested positive for coronavirus.

The Byndoor police station has been sealed down after three police personnel tested positive. This police station has been sealed down for the second time. All the three personnel have been admitted into the COVID Hospital at Kundapur and the employees of the station have been home quarantined.

After two workers of a hotel and staff of a business entity at Padubidri contracted coronavirus infection, the hotel and business concern were sealed down on Thursday. A nine-month-old child living in an apartment complex within Chantharu gram panchayat near Brahmavar was among those infected by this disease.
