Brahmavar: Barkur resident tests positive, several shops in vicinity sealed

Brahmavar, Jul 20: As a person residing on Barkur Car Street has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. His residence, 13 houses and 19 shops in the vicinity have been sealed down on Monday under the leadership of Brahmavar tahsildar Kiran Gorayya and Brahmavar police inspector Raghavendra C.

The elderly person was under treatment for cancer in Manipal. However, he began displaying coronavirus symptoms as soon as he came back to his relatives' residence after being discharged from the hospital. Besides him, two children and their parents residing in the same house have also tested positive.



Kota revenue inspector Raju, Barkur village accountant Bheemraj Horatti, Girish Kumar, health workers and ASHA workers took part in the operation.
