Mangaluru: Lockdown in district to end on Wednesday night

Mangaluru, Jul 22: The lockdown restrictions imposed in Dakshina Kannada district as a measure to regulate the spread of coronavirus infection will come to an end on the night of Wednesday, July 22. From July 23 morning, all shops and establishments will resume normal operations. 

District in-charge minister, Kota Srinivas Poojary, said that a week's lockdown had been announced in the district in view of the corona situation. He confirmed that the lockdown will continue till July 22 evening and as per the directions of the chief minister, B S Yediyurappa, the lockdown will be vacated on July 23 morning.

The minister said that all kinds of shops, establishments, commercial establishments etc will be operational and government offices will also be open. He said that all the work will thereafter go on smoothly.
