Kundapur, Jul 22: Following increasing cattle thefts in Gangolli and the surrounding areas, Hindu Jagarana Vedike activists transported cattle wandering about on the streets to Neelavara Goshale on Wednesday.

Several cattle were missing at night. Nearly 24 cattle were transported by HJV activists to safety.

HJV vice-president Vasudev Devadiga, Byndoor executive member Rathnaker Ganiga, Byndoor chief secretary Navin Doddahitlu and others took part in the operation.
