Kundapur, Jul 22: The Upanayana ceremonies of M G Prajwal Prakash Pai, son of entrepreneur M G Prakash Pai and Jyothi alias Renuka Pai from Gangolli and T Bhuvanendra Ganesh Pai, son of T Ganesh Pai and Pramoda Pai were celebrated in a subtle manner. The money that was left after spending on the programme together with cash gifts amounting to Rs 25,000 was donated to Neelavara byre. Upanayana is a sacred thread ceremony that symbolises the end of an era in a boy's life and the initiation into another.

M G Prajwal Prakash Pai and T Bhuvanendra Ganesh Pai handed over Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively to Hindu Jagarana Vedike activists in Gangolli on Wednesday.

M G Prakash Pai, M G Prasanna Pai, Pramoda Pai, Hindu Jagarane Vedike district vice president Vasudeva Devadiga, Byndoor executive member Ratnakar Ganiga, Byndoor chief secretary Navin Doddahitlu, co-secretaries Mohan Kharvi and Raghavendra Ganiga, Yashwant Kharvi and others were present.
