Kaup, Jul 23: A youth was killed after a container truck hit a motorbike. In this accident, another suffered serious injuries. The accident happened in front of Suzlon gate on Karkala Road. near Padubidri on Wednesday July 22.

The victim was Shahid (27), a resident of Anadka in Nandikoor. Hanif (36) was hospitalized with serious injuries.

The motorbike was moving towards Nandikoor from the direction of Padubidri when a container truck that was moving towards Padubidri from Karkala reportedly hit the bike at a dangerous road bend. Both the persons seated on the motorbike had suffered grievous injuries in the accident. Arrangements were made to rush them to the hospital immediately but Shahid did not survive for long.

Shahid was a dance composer based in Bengaluru and had settled down in his native place after the lockdown. He reportedly had planned to start online classes. He is survived by his mother, brother, and two sisters.
