The man, identified as  Chandru (55) from Kandegala in Malavalli taluk in the district,  had breathing difficulty. He had undergone corona test and the result received on Wednesday evening was negative. He had been admitted into the hospital and was being treated for his problem.

On Thursday, he hanged himself by using the lungi he was wearing. The reason behind the man's decision to kill himself is not known.
