Udupi district in-charge minister is missing – Vishwas Ameen

Udupi, Jul 30: “Basavaraj Bommai as district-in-charge minister has neglected the district while coronavirus cases are increasing in the district every day. His visit to the district only twice during the last four months after the lockdown is his greatest achievement,” stated Vishwas Ameen, president of the district youth Congress.

“Appointing an outsider from the district when there was an elected MLA in the district is a big mistake by the government. Congress party has been telling since the beginning that it is difficult to concentrate on the district as he is also the current home minister. The number of infected persons in the district has crossed 3000 at present.

“When Jayamala was the district in-charge minister in the coalition government, she used to visit the district several times in a month and discuss issues in the district. But the current district in-charge minister is not taking any of the problems seriously. Tribhuja boat had drowned in the district several years ago but the district in-charge minister has failed to provide compensation to fishermen’s families.

He said, “It is condemnable that the district in-charge minister is neglecting everything including scams taking place in the district one after the other. He is taking unilateral decisions without holding all-party meetings forgetting the primary opposition party Congress and is not right. Youth Congress will hold protests on the streets if the minister does not wake up to the problems of the district at least after this,” he stated.
