Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Mar 11: For administrative convenience, the local police sub-division will be bifurcated by creating a separate Bantwal sub-division, with the increase in the number of police stations functioning under this sub-division.

Punjalakatte police outpost is being upgraded into a full-fledged police station. Shortly, a new traffic police station will come into being in the town. With this, the number of police stations under the local sub-division will go up to 13. As such, Bantwal sub-division will be set up by bringing police stations in Bantwal and Beltangady taluks under it.

In the meanwhile, C K Shashidhar, who had earlier worked as the deputy superintendent of police (DySP) at Byndoor and as circle inspector in Sullia, has taken over as the new DySP of Puttur sub-division.
