Kundapur, Mar 11: Art Impact – 2010, a tribal sculpture and fine arts camp, will be held at Gurukul Public School, Vakwady here from Sunday March 14 to Monday March 29.

Veteran sculptor Shyamaraya Acharya will inaugurate the camp, at the school premises on Sunday March 14. CWC director Damodar Acharya will be the chief guest. Gurukul Public School joint managing trustee Subaschandra Shetty will preside over the programme.
 
Taranga, Kannada weekly editor-in-chief Sandhya S Pai will inaugurate the art camp on March 29.

Art Impact – 2010 is organized to familiarize the concept of sculpture from the internationally acclaimed sculptors and from tribal background across the country. The chief objective of the camp is to explore the possibilities of creating innovative sculptures from the locally available resources. The internationally acclaimed tribal sculptors from Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Maharastra will take part in the Camp.

Gurukul joint managing trustee Anupama S Shetty, Purushottam Adve and Surekha M H were present at the press meet.

Gurukul is situated in the pristine surrounding at Vakwady, three kilometers away from Arabian Sea. It has been laying more emphasis on all round development of students besides moral education.  The cultural and fine arts camps are being held every year.
