Beltangady: MLA Harish Poonja infected with coronavirus

Beltangady, Aug 5: Harish Poonja, MLA of Beltangady Vidhan Sabha constituency in the district has contracted the coronavirus infection.

He had undergone voluntary quarantine and medical tests in Mangaluru as he had met chief minister B S Yediyurappa recently. The lab report now received has confirmed that he is infected.

Writing on his Twitter account he stated that he had undergone tests as he was suffering from mild fever. “As there are no other symptoms, I am undergoing treatment at home. Those who met me recently should remain in quarantine and take precautions,” he wrote.
