Haveri: Two failed, below par performance SSLC students end lives

Haveri, Aug 11: Two teenagers from the district killed themselves on Monday August 10 within hours of declaration of SSLC result. Both were girls.

Vaishnavi Ritti, a student of Geleyara Balaga English Medium High School in the city consumed poison after she came to know that she had failed to clear the examination. Bharathi Koti from Kasambi village, a student of Kaginele high school in Bydagi taluk, consumed poison at her home as she was distraught at securing lower than expected marks.

The post-mortem was conducted at the mortuary of the district hospital. MLA Neharu Olekar, pacified the grieving members of their families.
