Bangalore: National Archidesign Public Jury Award for Oscar Concessao

Bangalore, Mar 17: Architect Oscar G Concessao has won the National Archidesign Public Jury Award for the Best Institutional/Corporate Building 2009, for the Sastra Arts Sciences Campus at Tanjore. The award function was held at New Delhi, recently.



Concessao, a Mangalorean, did his schooling at St Aloysius here. He has been winning architectural awards consistently over the years. He had won the Southern Regional Archi Design Award at Bangalore, recently.

In 2008, he has won the prestigious National Award for Architectural Excellence from the Indian Institute of Architects. Notable are the Indian Building Congress National Award in 2004 from Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, the then president.
