Udupi: MP Shobha distributes compensation to 120 blast victims

Udupi, Aug 11: Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha MP Shobha Karandlaje handed over a compensation of Rs 1.28 crore compensation to 120 victims of the rock blast that had occurred while ASPRL pipeline was being installed at Padoor.

The amount released by the centre was distributed by the MP at a programme held at Kulshekar auditorium, Kalathur on Monday.

District panchayat president Dinaker Babu, vice-president Sheela K Shetty, district panchayat member, Sheela Geethanjali Suvarna, Shilpa Suvarna, tahsildar Mohammed Isaq and others were present.
