Udupi, Aug 11: “The government is bound to provide basic facilities to the newly formed taluks in the state. Funds to them will be announced,” said Udupi district in charge minister Basavaraj Bommai.

He was speaking after receiving grievances from people in the Hebri taluk office on Tuesday.

“Nemmadi center will be opened in Hebri soon. Police station in Hebri will be well equipped. The fire brigade station will be approved as a special case. Seeta River irrigation project will be looked into,” he said.

Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar sought necessary facilities from the minister for the new Hebri taluk soon.

The minister also distributed 94C title deeds and received grievances from people.

Coastal development authority president Mattar Rathnaker Hegde, deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha, district panchayat CEO Preethi Geylot, SP Vishnuvardhan, district panchayat member Reshma Udaya Shetty, chief executive Major Harsha, tahsildar Maheshchandra and others were present.
