Mangaluru, Aug 12: A person working for a boat that was hired on a contract basis to clean up pollutants from the sea at the port at Panambur drowned in the sea on Tuesday August 11.

The deceased was Pradeep (42), a resident of Meenakaliya near Bykampady here.

Pradeep worked for a company that had taken the boat on a contract basis. It is said that he was taken away by the staff of the contracting company on Tuesday morning.
