Udupi, Aug 12: There is a shortage of ventilators in order to treat COVID-19 infected people. MLA Raghupati Bhat had requested philanthropists to come forward and join hands with the government to procure more ventilators.

Accordingly, H S Shetty, owner of Mysuru Mercantile Company donated two ventilators at a cost of Rs 12 lac. These ventilators were handed over to the district administration on Wednesday, August 12 in the presence of MLA Raghupati Bhat and minister for home and Udupi district in-charge minister Basavaraj Bommai.

MLA Raghupati Bhat congratulated and appreciated the people-friendly concern of the owner of Mysuru Mercantile company, who donated two ventilators.

Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar, president of coastal development authority Mattaru Rathnakara Hegde, president of Udupi urban development authority Raghavendra Kini and SP Vishnuvardhan were present on the occasion.
