Mangalore: NAAC Team Visits Nitte University, Affiliated Colleges

Mangalore, Mar 20: A National Accreditation amd Assessment Council (NAAC) team, under the leadership of chairman, Prof Damle, and co-chairman, Dr Mahdi Hasan, visited Nitte University and its constituent colleges in Mangalore recently. The NAAC team, composed of professionals drawn from medical, nursing, dental, physiotherapy and pharmacy faculties, went around the University’s campus at Deralakatte and Paneer as part of the accreditation process mandated by the University Grants Commission for all newly established universities. Earlier, the university chancellor, Vinaya Hedge and vice chancellor, Dr M Shantharam Shetty, made an audio-visual presentation of the academic and infrastructural facilities available in the Nitte University.



Dr  Arunachalam Kumar, dean of  K S Hegde Medical Academy (KSEMA), took the NAAC team around the medical complex. Dr K. Jayaprakash Shetty, registrar, KSHEMA, and Dr Krishna Prasad, local coordinator from KSHEMA, accompanied the visitors.
