Bangalore: PFI Asks People to Protest Against Cow Slaughter Ban Law

Media Release

Bangalore, Mar 23: In a release, Popular Front of India (PFI) has criticized the BJP government in the state for passing the Anti Cow Slaughter Bill, overlooking strong objection from the opposition parties, and protests from a large number of people of the state. “This is nothing but another anti people policy of the state government. It is against democratic set up of the country. Forcing the people to change their food habits and implementing the Hindutva agenda in the state by the government are not acceptable,” it said.

People of the state are facing lot of grave problems like corruption, illegal mining, acute shortage of electricity, price rise, improper drainage system etc. The BJP government, instead of solving such problems, is showing interest in banning cow slaughter. This attitude should be condemned, it said.

State president of PFI, Mohammad Elyas, has asked the people of the state to come together to protest the anti people policies of the state government and pressurize the government to withdraw the cow slaughter ban. It has also sought support for its programmes by like-minded, secular political parties etc.

Nagesh,There is a vast difference in eating "BEEF" & Smoking. I believe that you have read on the Cigeratte packet " Smoking causes lung cancer & is injurious to health. But have you read anywhere about eating "BEEF". Instead, it is written "BEEF" IS the NUTRITIOUS of all meats in Vedas & Upanishads. Please go through it once, believe me you will surely start eating "BEEF".
Coming to the point of Mr.Elyas, he told the Govt is forcing peoples to change their food habits. Not "BAD HABITS". Smoking is one of the bad habits my dear. Dont get emotional by the words of Mr.Elyas, read the words carefully & try to understand them. But I dont understand, What are you against & Why???

Beef has a lot of health benefits. A Hindu doctor advised my uncle who was suffering from Tuberculosis to eat beef and drink its soup everyday because it energizes your body and muscles and gives you the strength to fight the disease. Politicians only want some mileage out of these issues for their own benefit and greed.

The main problem here is that government has no proper rules. As speaking of the anti cow slaughter bill, they should ban cutting of cows by private individuals.Beef is eaten in villages as well as metro politian cities.but there are no riots over these issue in metropolitian cities like mumbai, delhi cos here the government has proper rules.Beef is the type of food.At the same time cow is a God to Hindus.Hence keeping the religous factor in mind, in metropolitian cities, only government workers cut the cows and they supply it to the rest of the city.

And if private individuals are caught doing that they are put behind bars. And as we can see there is no problem with this in metropolitian cities. But in mangalore there is no such rules.Hence private individuals start cutting cows and the politicians take advantage of it and then cause riots to come in power. And i also blame for some ppl for it, because some ppl also steal cows.Hence if the above rule is implied i guess there will be no commotion and violence

Mr. Nagesh Nayak, looks like you are a hardcore RSS cadre. I totally agree with PIF, every individual has a right to eat whatever he/she likes or dislikes. Tomorrow they might say that dont eat PIGS/GOATS then what do we stop that also. The CM is wasting his time and the state money on helping the RSS implemnet all the stupid plans in the state and unfortunately there are educated people like you who are communal and support his cause.
