Udupi: Pedestrian hit by unknown vehicle dies, case registered

Udupi, Sep 2: A speeding unknown vehicle driven recklessly had hit Suresh Gowda (60) while he was walking on the side of Udupi-Mangaluru NH 66 one way road near Hejmady village, Ayyappa Nagar Garadi, Kaup taluk on Sep 1 at about 10.10 pm. The vehicle which had hit Suresh Gowda had fled immediately.

Suresh Gowda who suffered serious injuries to his head was initially treated at Mulki government hospital and subsequently shifted to Mangaluru Wenlock hospital on advice by the doctor. The doctor at Wenlock hospital who examined Suresh Gowda had said that Suresh Gowda passed away.

A police case under registration No. 59/2020 section 279 and 304 (A) IPC and 134 (A)(b) IVM is registered in Padubidri police station on the basis of complaint from Manoj Kumar, public relations officer at Hejmady toll gate.

    How sad.Looks like one never know when you go out ,whether you return back home or not.Some people who drive vehicle think human life has no value.make place,Iwant to drive..?when a accident happens atleast stay and look if he is injured or not ,needs help,then call for help.you expect also same when you are injured.Does his conscious not tell him he has done wrong?second why should a serious patient should be shifted at that stage?knowing patient dies?may his soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathys to his family.I feel so sad at these events.
