Mangaluru: Infant Jesus Shrine at Bikarnakatte reopens

Mangaluru, Sep 3: The Infant Jesus Shrine at Bikarnakatte re-opened after five months of closure. Due to the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) the shrine and all other activities in the shrine were closed.

Adhering to the government rules, regulations and guidance, Novena masses started from Thursday September 3. Hereafter, every Thursday Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 6.00 am, 7.30 am, 10.30 am and 6.00 pm on weekdays. The Holy Eucharist is celebrated daily at 6.30 am and 6.00 pm wherein the devotees rush to this holy place to offer prayers and receive blessings. The church and its premises are sanitized after every Mass celebration and devotees are ensured that social distancing is maintained.

Special prayers were offered for all the doctors, nurses, police department and Covid-19 warriors for their selfless service and all the people in the world who are affected by the virus. Fr Charles Serrao, superior and Fr Rovel D’Souza, shrine director reported the press about the recent happenings at the Infant Jesus Shrine, Mangaluru.
