Udupi, Sep 7: Social worker Vishu Shetty came to the rescue of a woman, who had come to the city in search of her husband and was tensed as she could not find him and was sitting helplessly in the bus stand.
The woman was taken to Sakhi one stop center through the women police department and provided shelter.
The staff of Sakhi one stop instilled confidence in the woman and also prevented any untoward incident that might have happened to her in case she was left alone in a public place like the bus stand during unearthly hours.
The legal process of handing over the woman to her concerned relatives is on.
