Udupi: 'Sort out the complaints in various wards immediately' – MP Shobha Karandlaje

Udupi, Sep 9: Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje has asked municipal council officials to immediately solve the ward problems being reported by concerned councillors.

Chairing a meeting held in district panchayat auditorium on Wednesday, September 9 she asked to solve the problems of drinking water, street lights and cleanliness on priority. “Identify a suitable place for petty shop owners who were displaced during road widening in Manipal. Take action on those who conduct business without a license. Fill potholes on roads,” she said.

DC Jagadeesha said that investigation into the death of Indiranagar resident woman is in progress. All the councillors should create awareness on the pandemic in their wards and get those with symptoms examined free of charge in district hospitals, said the DC.

MLA Raghupathi Bhat said that home isolation is also possible if people do not like to get admitted to hospitals.

Councillors, urban development treasury project director Aruna Prabha, municipal commissioner Anand Kallolikar and council officials were present.
