Daijiworld Media Network – Bantwal (SP)

Bantwal, Apr 14: Special officer and education officer of the department of public instruction here has, through an order, directed for the closure of Shastriji Memorial High School that had been operating without any sanction, in the premises of the Pariyaltadka aided higher primary school in Punacha village near Vittal in the taluk.

The department issued this order, on the basis of a complaint filed by the headmaster of the primary school, B Ramakrishna Bhat. It has declared the high school classes being run under the supervision of teacher, Harsha Shastri, in the school premises, as unauthorized. The letter authorizes the head master to remove unwanted boards if any in the primary school and stop the high school classes for which no permission has been obtained, from being conducted. The headmaster was also advised to seek police assistance if necessary to comply with this order.

Accordingly, Ramakrishna Bhat has removed the boards put up in the school premises without permission, and took over the class rooms in which high school classes were being conducted. It may be recalled that Bhat had fought a 18 year-long battle in the courts against Harsha Shastri to get back the post of the head master, for which he was eligible on the basis of seniority, recently.

may be in that high school more sc st or other low cast students were studying, which was digested by bhat. again it is difficult to understand how can one close existing school just because there is no permission. it is great asset to have school around. secondly govt should give support if one can't get licence of his own - then all support should be given by govt. it is not bar and restaurant which needs licen to run.
