Udupi, Oct 9: Karnataka state election commission has announced the following reservations for election for the position of president and vice president of local bodies in the district:
Udupi municipal council: Backward Class (A) female for the post of president and general category female for the post of vice president.
Kundapur municipal council: General category female for the post of president and Backward Class (A) candidate for vice president.
Kaup municipal council: Backward Class (A) candidate for president and scheduled caste female category for vice president.
Saligram town panchayat: Backward Class B (female) for president and general category female for vice president.
Karkala municipal council: General category female for president and Backward Class (A) female for vice president.
