Bantwal: Bike collision with rickshaw - Rider succumbs to injuries in hospital

Bantwal, Oct 15: A bike rider has lost his life in the hospital on Wednesday night after his vehicle collided with a rickshaw on Wednesday evening.

The deceased was Melkar resident Taranath Salian (35). He was on his way on the bike from Porlippadi near Kalladka to Kalladka market on Wednesday evening when his vehicle collided head on with a rickshaw approaching from the opposite direction. Taranath suffered injuries to his abdomen in the accident. He was rushed immediately to private hospital in Mangaluru. However, he passed away at night without responding to treatment.

Melkar traffic SI Rajesh K V visited the spot of the accident and registered a case.
