New Delhi, May 23 (IANS): Sports Minister M.S. Gill Saturday said the government will decide on its future course of action on the Delhi High Court order reinstating the Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) after going through the judgement.
Gill pointed out that he has "deep respect" for the country's judiciary.
"I am yet to receive a copy of the order and have read it in the newspapers. We will study the judgement and then decide on the matter. I have deep respect for the High Court," Gill told reporters after the meeting of the Group of Ministers (GoM) on the Commonwealth Games.
The Delhi High Court Friday lifted the suspenion on IHF and termed the its derecognition by the Indian Olympic Association and the sports ministry as "illegal".
IOA chief Suresh Kalmadi, who was present at the GoM meeting, also said the matter will be decided after going through the High Court judgement.
